The result of the move request was: moved. (Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995), Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003)) (closed by non-admin page mover) ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 10:04, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
– Names are basically identical, except one has an accent on the a, and the other doesn't. In keeping in line with national vairations, move
the Bissau-Guinean Mamadi Camará to Mamadi Camará (footballer) and
the Canadian-Guinean Mamadi Camara to Mamadi Camara (soccer)

Update: This has gotten super-messy with many counter-proposals. I'm going to update this and re-ping everyone
- Option 1 Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (soccer) & Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (footballer)
- Option 2 Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995) & Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003)
- Option 3 Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (footballer, born 1995) & Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003)
- Option 4 Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (Guinean-Canadian soccer) & Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (Bissau-Guinean footballer)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page moves. RedPatchBoy (talk) 01:01, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and also support creation of the Mamadi Camara disambiguation page that would list Mamadi Camara (soccer) as well as Mamadi Camará (footballer). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:29, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support, but according to WP:NCSP and this RfC, the two need to be further disambiguated. So, move to Mamadi Camará (Bissau-Guinean footballer) and Mamadi Camara (Guinean-Canadian soccer). 162.208.168.92 (talk) 03:03, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support Mamadi Camará → Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003) and Mamadi Camara → Mamadi Camara (footballer, born 1995). We don't do double nationality as a disambiguator, and birthyear is cleanest in this case as per WP:NCSP.--Ortizesp (talk) 05:46, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- If we go this route, then Mamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995) would be the best choice, as he plays in North America. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 14:33, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support moves to Mamadi Camará (footballer, born 2003) and Mamadi Camara (soccer, born 1995), and creation of dab page. GiantSnowman 21:00, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
Support counter-proposal, supporting User:Ortizesp's proposal as per long established precedent. The issue with using nationality as a disambiguator is that nationality can change, same with soccer/football, place of residence can easilly change too, whereas birth year cannot. RE-VOTE
- Update: This has gotten super-messy with many counter-proposals. Please re-vote here @Roman Spinner, Contributions/162.208.168.92, Ortizesp, GiantSnowman, and Abcmaxx: RedPatchBoy (talk) 03:18, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support Option 1 or Option 2 Camara no accent is Canadian and identifies as Canadian per sources, so should be soccer per WP:NCSP and WP:LANGVAR. Normally, nominator doesn't vote, but with 4 options proposed, including counter-votes, I would think that modifies that RedPatchBoy (talk) 03:18, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support Option 2 or Option 4. I originally proposed option 4 since, as per the RfC, There's a consensus here that national variations of English alone are not sufficient to disambiguate these athletes, and there is also a rough consensus to include nationality as a disambiguator in these cases. But, that's not exactly a policy, so if consensus prefers dates, that's fine. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 03:38, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support 2 or 3, no preference between those.--Ortizesp (talk) 04:02, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support 1, 2, 4 and 3, in order of preference. 1 is the shortest and most direct, 2 is also useful in easing the identification by highlighting the eight-year age difference between the two men, 4 is likewise useful in identifying the men by nationality and 3 is acceptable, but ranks last as a result of blurring the differentiation and conflating "footballer" with "soccer". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support option 2. GiantSnowman 07:41, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- The absence of diacritics probably don't disambiguate per SMALLDETAILS since few English users would type them though the one with diacritics gets slightly more (207) than the one with (178)[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:30, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support option 3 in line with my original vote and comment Abcmaxx (talk) 11:54, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
