I think overall, the page looks really good! Because Mama Dip's is a restaurant, it might help for you to add photos, in order to give readers more of a visual feel for the cuisine. In the first section I would cut it off after you say they "have an extensive take-home menu" and make the section about merchandise a separate sub-section. Also, I think you should add the external links throughout the article to show your resources and where you received your information (which you can do by clicking on the globe in the "edit" page). You do a great job being neutral and non-biased and include enough descriptive adjectives that it makes it clear you did background research. I do think it would look more professional if you included other internal links. For example, you could mention "southern cooking" and include a link to a wikipedia page related to that, and also perhaps to the mentioning of "Good Morning America", "Chapel Hill", and "The New York Times". In fact, if the food critic you mentioned has his own page, that would be another good way to add authority and professionalism to the article. Overall I think you did a really great job and with a few more links and possibly a photo the page will be perfect.

Hey Alston- just checking out your wikipedia page you were raving about the other day and it looks amazing, like you said! I would add a bit more detail in each section and list more facts about the restaurant you visit so often so your audience can learn the facts. Regardless, I can see why you eat there once or twice a week, sounds like a great institution and social construction of foodways in Chapel Hill. NICE WORK, girl! --Vknott (talk) 16:16, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An overall decent article given the limitations of the topic. While the article covers most of what is available on the subject there are some areas for improvement. A review of the grammar and writing style of the piece should be reviewed in order to produce the best article possible. Subtle changes would make this article sound more professional. Amongst the terms used in the article there should be internal links available for the user to reference other items contained in the article. For example, “Good Morning America” and “The Food Network” are items that can be tagged as Wikipedia links. The information provided seems accurate since it is coming from the mama dip’s website itself and what appears to be Mildred Council’s (Mama Dip) book on the kitchen. There are more details that can be added for a more enhanced article. Including menu items and some basic pricing would probably be good starters for an article based on a single restaurant. The information is presented in an authoritative manner given where the information is coming from. Bias exists in the review of the restaurant due to locality and the writer’s opinion of such an establishment. A more in depth, precise, and articulate article can be easily achieved by making a few changes such as including more detailed descriptions and some grammatical changes. -Bradley Jones —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bjones4787 (talkcontribs) 17:10, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Strengths:
-The organization is great. Good job including the table contents -A section on background history – it was interesting to find out history behind it -It seems that this article would be helpful for people who wants to check out for the restaurant

Weaknesses:
-Your article was writing from a non-biased point of view, and you seemed to include basic information about restaurant. -The most current information provided from the website is only up to 2005. Therefore, it’s not accurate

Additional resources:
-Additional resources could be used if you were to add any pictures of the restaurant - searching google images –either on the beginning section or next to the table content -I don’t think there are many sources other than the reviews/rating of this restaurant

How to Improve:
-The article should be written in a more professional manner from the beginning. -More details on each section -You can add internal sources under Mildred Council section. -For the references section, there’s a way to cite differently. You can click on /ref button to fix this issue.

This is a good article that with a few modifications will be great. First of all, I noticed several terms that could be turned into internal links. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Morning_America )( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_Network )( www.mamadips.com ) Also, perhaps there is room for additional detail in the section about the life of Mildred Council. You seem knowledgeable about her life, so perhaps more detail about her life story would be beneficial to the article as a whole. I am not sure but I think there might be bias in that the stories about her life are "great." I could be wrong but to me that seems to be favoring Mama Dip and her stories rather than making an encyclopedic description. Also, perhaps there are some more current news articles or descriptions based on Mama Dip. For example, I found this article that may be helpful. ( http://southernfood.about.com/od/cookbooks/fr/aa102800a.htm ) Overall, I think that you covered the topic well and gave a great insight to this restaurant and cook.
