Hello--the external link listed now is useless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:569:BD16:5E00:C81D:3A95:BEE:1BFB (talk) 18:43, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

Grooming info without sources

Some of the grooming info lacks a source. Notably, the following claim is somewhat contradicted by the source in the citation following it:

Many owners find that a weekly bath is sufficient for keeping the coat clean, although it is recommended to not wash a dog so often, so washing every three weeks is sufficient, although if the dog keeps clean even longer than that.

The nearest succeeding citation links to http://www.petwave.com/Dogs/Breeds/Maltese/Appearance.aspx, which says:

Maltese get dirty very easily and regular brushing can mean the difference between bathing the dog every week, or every two to three weeks.

While the timeframes stated are similar, as a reader, I'm interested in all the steps I need to take to keep my dog clean, not just how long to go between baths. If there are important factors that change how often a dog needs to be bathed, I'd like to know that.

I'm not qualified enough to know which of these statements is closer to professional consensus or whether this is a well-respected source in the industry. As such, I'm leaving the existing statement, but marking it as dubious. I would appreciate if someone with more experience could make an informed decision as to what information should be included, with appropriate citations.
