Creation of Maltby Street Market
[edit]I have replaced the first sentence of the section Maltby Street Market was born in 2009 from a dispute between the Borough Market trustees and traders unhappy with rising rents and a perceived decline in quality at the ancient London Bridge institution. with Maltby Street Market developed from a group of Borough Market traders who had opened storage facilities in railway arches around Maltby Street, about a milev from the market. In 2009 Monmouth Coffee Company started to open their arch to sell coffee on Saturdays and other traders followed their example. In 2011 seven traders were evicted from Borough Market for trading at a conpeting venue. In turn the traders criticised poor facilities at the market and a move to selling takeaway food. in line with the Evening Standard reference.[1] TSventon (talk) 12:01, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
