some pov stuff
[edit]Speed was personally criticised by many commentators (e.g. [1] ) in respect of severe organisational and other problems at the 2007 Cricket World Cup and it was reported by Cricinfo that a vote of no confidence in him may be sought by ICC members in their meeting in June 2007 [2].
- Speed was never personally criticized or at least correctly criticized for organizational problems, as he didn't orgnaize the world cup, the local organizations did. And there isn't going to be a vote of no confidence against him.[1] Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a crystal ball.--THUGCHILDz 06:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Problems attributed to Speed, during the 2007 Cricket World Cup included:
* The tournament was far too long at 46 days.
- Organizers did it, while the ICC over looked it.--THUGCHILDz 06:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
* The regulations he imposed effectively killed the fun and carnival atmosphere.
- POV, and the restrictions were eased up at the start of the super 8.--THUGCHILDz 06:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
* Ticket prices far out of reach of locals and consequently half empty stands.
- Again, the prices were set by the local organizers. Plus over 500,000 tickets had been sold up to the super 8's last match.--THUGCHILDz 06:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
