"Days of Wine and Roses"
[edit]Atterbury played Joe Clay's (Cliff Robertson) A.A. sponsor Jim Hungerford in the 1958 teleplay "Days of Wine and Roses." The role was taken over by Jack Klugman in the 1962 big-screen adaptation directed by Blake Edwards and starring Jack Lemmon as Joe and Lee Remick as Joe's wife Kirsten (enacted in the teleplay by Piper Laurie). Charles Bickford played Kirsten's father, Old Man Arnesen, in both versions.Maccb (talk) 00:04, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
