Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP mentioned in his post following his visit on 12-Aug-2017 that it is about 3000 years old. This contradicts with the 1000 years age mentioned in the wiki article as of now (13-Aug-2017).

To quote him, "At the Malayalappuzha Devi Temple in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala today. Powerful temple of Bhagwati as Shakti, said to be 3000 years old. It's an unusual temple with a swayambu shivalingam outside and a rare murti of Parvati suckling Ganesha. Devotees flock here from across Kerala."

Relevant information from this statement could be inserted into the wiki article after due consideration of facts, as Dr. Tharoor is an internationally acclaimed historian author.
