Needs references
[edit]"in international schools in Malawi ... English is the language students are taught in, and do not learn Chichewa at all, as it is regarded as a useless language."
Is there a reference on this? Who regards it as useless? Is that an official point of view of the schools? If not, this looks like weasel wording.
"Malawian English has a slight tinge of non-lingustic expressions that are still used, such as "eesh!", an exclamation meaning "oh my!""
What does "non-linguistic expressions" mean here? Is this a claim that "eesh" is not used as a word or other linguistic expression, even though it is part of Malawian English? Since I'm having a bit of trouble comprehending this, please link to an article on the phenomenon if it exists, if not, this needs rewording. --Kiwibird 15:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Empty of relevant content and circular in its content
[edit]"Since Malawian independence, the dominance of English has continued..." Yes, but the article is about "Malawian English". Presumably there is a difference, but with the exception of one trivial comment about the interjection "sheesh" we never find out what these differences are. Shouldn't at least one of the primary goals of this article be to explain how Malawian English differs from any other English?
