Flag

[edit]

Commons has two different flags:

FOTW has both flags and a third, as does this "malaita anthem" youtube video.

If I had to guess it would be that the first flag is recognised by the central Solomon government and the second one is favoured by separatists, and maybe the provincial government vacillates? But until someone has citable sources it is safer to list neither so I have removed it from the infobox. jnestorius(talk) 14:23, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The mystery of which flag is the "official" flag of Mailaita has been solved! It is the flag "File:Flag of Malaita.svg ", as seen here at ceremonies with the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Jeremiah Manele and the Premier of Malaita Province Elijah Asilaua: https://theislandsun.com.sb/malaita-province-marks-41st-second-appointed-day-in-auki-2/
This is, why I will add this Flag to the Article of Malaita Province. Austria Football 02 (talk) 06:12, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
