Inconsistent identification
[edit]Well over a hundred of the Guantanamo captives were inconsistenly identified. Just as with Samuel Clemens-Mark Twain, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson-Lewis Carroll, and Joseph Dzhugashvili-Joseph Stalin, it is important to provide references that substantiate each of the alternate names.
Another individual has been on a campaign to excise these references, under a variety of justifications. In the case of this article that individual asserted that substantiation was (1) “dehumanizing” and (2) lapsed from WP:OR. However, I raised these concerns at WP:BLPN and WP:NORN. Those who weighed in did not endorse the other contributor′s concern. Therefore I restored the identity section. Geo Swan (talk) 06:55, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
