Notability & COI

[edit]

The allegation by Bongo that there is a COI problem is just absurd. I hereby attest that I am not an owner, officer, or investor, in this organization, and never have been. I am just a member of the profession with intimate, expert knowledge of the history, founding and formation of international Chiropractic and Olympic agencies. Who else should write these?

As to the "notability issue; Bongo should re-read the WP:ORG rules that dictate that an Organization is automatically notable if it is both "International in scope"... this is a World agency, and is in formal relations with the WHO. AND, has secondary references... please see the article. They are there.

Please release the flags. Drsjpdc (talk) 01:52, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

With respect to COI, the creator of the article is the head of an organization that is situated within the subject complex.
With respect to notability, it is not obvious to me that ORG applies to a "complex / facility" in the first place. Even if so, the misquoted portion provides that for an organization to be notable:
  • the scope of its activities must be national or international in scale; and
  • it satisfies the GNG.
As to the first of these, renting space in a single location to international organizations does not, by any conventional definition constitute an activity that is "national or international in scale".

With respect to COI, you are wrong that the creator of the article "is the head of an organization that is situated within the subject complex". From what I understand he is a past-president of the organization, and that it was not situated there when he was president. This sounds more like a vested interest than a conflict of interest.
