I am wondering why there is a special section for the 2010 and 2014 governor's election when the party did not run a candidate, yet there is no special section for Carter's 2002 and Lamarche's 2006 runs for governor. It seems that the party not running a candidate is not particularly worth a special mention in two different highlighted areas, while at the same time, there is no special attention given to the 2002 and 2006 elections when the party did run a candidate, and with Clean Elections funding. Either all four governor's elections should be highlighted in their respective sections, or there should be no sections on individual governor races and instead, all runs for governor should be collectively included in one section generally about runs for governor. There is no mention of Carter's 2002, and LaMarche's 2006 run should not be included under "party qualification" since it was not relevant to gaining party qualification. Lamarche's 2006 run (and Carter's 2002 run) should be given at least equal treatment as the 2010 and 2014 "non-runs" for governor are being given. --- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prtlndgrnlntrn (talkcontribs) 00:58, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Slagger withdrawal source

[edit]

I edit the governor's race election page and I was wondering what the source is for the claim that David Slagger withdrew from the race, so I can edit that article to reflect that. Thank you 331dot (talk) 20:55, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Portland Greens info

[edit]

I edited and updated the Portland Greens info, most notably removing the totals and mentions of the unsuccessful 2012 legislative candidates. The section seems primarily focused on the "success" of the Portland Greens, namely the election of officers. If unsuccessful campaigns are to be included, then a 2012 slate shouldn't be singled out and reference to all unsuccessful candidacies dating back to the 1990's should also be referenced. Perhaps another section can be devised for general Portland candidate info, but if so, Portland Green Independent Committee may need its own separate entry. Lists of officeholders

[edit]

I removed the uncited lists of officeholders in both Portland and statewide. Both lacked citations. The Portland list, even if cited, was far too detailed. A year by year accounting of a party's elected members in one municipality is beyond the scope of Wikipedia. The statewide list might have some merit but it lacked citations proving that 1) the names were actually elected and 2) that those elected were members of this party.--TM 10:09, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
