What This Article Needs

[edit]

Seems to be missing:

  • Famous Alumni
  • Sports records and info on sports teams (XC, Nordic skiing, ultimate frisbee)
  • Traditions and events
  • More information about class size and faculty, and courses offered
  • Consider comparing to pages for other regional privates schools like NYA, Wayneflete, and Cheverus — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamtfc (talkcontribs) 00:46, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

User:Mainecoastwaldorf appears to have a conflict of interest in editing this page.--TM 14:52, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

TM - The aforementioned user is indeed an employee of Maine Coast Waldorf School (and my children are students). How can they make the page more neutral? To me it reads like factual information perhaps with some subjective/marketing-like commentary. In order to make it neutral, should the page be purely factual? Thanks -- Curt —Preceding undated comment added 15:53, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It needs to be restored to a neutral point of view. The whole thing reads as an advertisement. "Founded in 1984, Maine Coast Waldorf School serves some 260 students from early childhood through high school. The campus in Freeport, Maine, United States, provides students with beautifully designed buildings and acres of outdoor classrooms and woodland trails. Maine Coast Waldorf School fosters independent thinking, creative problem solving, and a sense of connection to equip students for future challenges, while inspiring them to create their own opportunities.

As a Waldorf School, Maine Coast offers a developmentally based, experiential curriculum that addresses the needs of the growing child at every stage. To enrich and inspire life-long learning, the arts are integrated into all academic disciplines. Maine Coast Waldorf School offers education for life!"--TM 21:43, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
