Please do not delete

This article is still a stub and the creator of the article (me) knows that. I have more to add. Please do not delete. Reuvenk 05:01, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

Is this page still a stub?

Reuvenk 07:00, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

No If there aren't any objections by Thursday, I'm removing the stubs. A few more pictures would be nice, though. Reuvenk 05:04, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Stubs removed. Reuvenk 03:54, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Former Clubs and Activities, YMYDAS Sections

I now realize that this change might be controversial. Let's discuss here before reverting. Also, maybe we could make a YMYDAS section within this article. Lets gather some content for that first, though. Reuvenk 05:03, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

I say maybe wait a year before adding the YMYDAS section. Also, Spectrum is still current (not "The Current," just current). They still put out about one paper a year, but that's no less than litmag. Forrest Gump club is still a cohesive group, although they meet about as frequently as the astronomy club. They did take a picture together at the Gala. Maybe add a section of annual big events: retreat, chanukkah banquet, purim shpiel, gala, battle of the bands, senior slump, etc. Shoofy 22:17, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

infobox

I added an infobox to this article (template:infobox school). see the talk page there on how to use it. It can be expanded more. It would look a lot better if the logo was not so wide. Jon513 18:46, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

I agree about the logo width problem. What if we only used the Hebrew Rambam, and axed the words "Maimonides School". If it helps licensing stuff, the school has used that type of logo before. -Reuvenk 19:43, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
One more problem. There are a lot of principals in the school - no one is supreme. Also, Rabbi Wecker isn't the principal - he's some sort of assisstant principal, currently acting as principal until the school hires a new one. This template has its shortcomings, mainly, a lack of ability to be expanded, but maybe a chart made to look like this template would be good. Meanwhile, I'm not changing anything except I'm making principal say "vacant." Reuvenk 19:51, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Ok, so I changed it. Reuvenk 20:22, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

History Section - Cite Sources

(removed uncited box) See WP:CITE -Reuvenk 03:52, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Added the citation. Sorry about that. -Shoofy 02:26, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
I feel like such an a$$, being such a stickler for the rules. Jeez, wikipeida is messing me up. OK, this willl prob. be reverted, so oh well. Sorry, Reuvenk 03:29, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Avoid Edit War - Wikilinking Brookline in Campus Section

IMHO, Brookline does not need to be wikilinked in the Campus section, because it is wikilinked in the first sentance. Please remember WP:3RR and discuss this here, rather than reverting. To avoid a edit war, I will not remove the link now, but if there is no response here by Sunday, I will remove the link. -Reuvenk 17:27, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

It wasn't even linked to Brookline, Massachusetts, just a dissambiguation page, so I just got rid of it. -Shoofy 02:31, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Infobox principals

So, I subst'd the infobox, so that we could add the gazillion principals. To the right is what I came up with:

I think its terrible. Looks bad, and is too much information. Maybe we should make an administration section? -Reuvenk 07:54, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

FA Status

I think we can get this article to Featured status. See Caulfield Grammar School - that one isn't too large, but its featured. Also see this on components of a good article. Maybe we should make a to do list on the top of the talk page. -Reuvenk 17:04, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

I dont' mean to offend, but this is far from featured article status. For one thing look at Caulfield Grammar School#References and Caulfield Grammar School#Further reading. In order to be a feature article you need to be very well sourced. And while it is short is much thicker than this article which is mostly lists. Jon513 18:04, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I know. It was part wishful thinking, part inpiration, but ceartinly not fact. And, I'm not offended. Reuvenk 00:26, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Blocking Users

How can we block the user 209.150.49.18 (I'll give you a hint: the first half of his name sounds like the letter K and the second half sounds like C and his last name sounds liek what he is) from repeatedly defacing this article? I've already reverted his changes many times. -Shoofy 21:02, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

First of all, I read the comment on Shoofy's talk page about this. Second, by looking at User:209.150.49.18's contributions, I know exactly who this person is. (I will refer to 209.150.49.18 as K-C.) Also, Jon513 - you mention WP:FAITH, but adding M.A. shows that its not good faith (if you knew what M.A. was, you'd know why). That said, I don't think we should block K-C now, but if he continues to vandalise, then maybe. Also, we could talk to K-C in school and tell K-C to stop adding M.A. etc. I apologise for using phrases like K-C, M.A., and YMYDAS, but cearin things are not meant to be said (written) publicly. -Reuvenk 00:38, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
FYI, K-C wrote the following to me in an email: "M.A is a real club at Maimo. As inapropriate as it may be, and even though it isnt officialy recognized by the school it is a real organization it has members and meetings and is more active than a bunch of the clubs you have listed. I'm not joking when I say it actually does deserve to be listed." I still don't think it should be there. -Reuvenk 03:11, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
