Discrepancy
[edit]The Platte Purchase article references a Chief White Cloud of the Ioways, which I assume refers to this person, but the Purchase was in 1836, and Mahaska is listed as dying in 1834. Perhaps the text merely meant to identify which band was involved in the treaty, but it doesn't say that. Someone knowledgeable should sort this out. Brianyoumans (talk) 18:10, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
This was likely Chief White Cloud's son, the same one who went to London in 1844. I have added and cited information on this regard. balshan (talk) 07:27, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Where did this image come from? Why not use and authentic image of the chief?
This article is actually about two different people
[edit]The image here appears to be Mahaska, while some of the information is about his son, Mahaska the Younger. Removing the son's info for now.
