[edit]No mention of his musical duets with astronomer Patrick Moore. I remember Patrick Moore played the xylophone.
Cleanup tag added
[edit]The last four paragraphs are just rambling quotations that are visually appalling and functionally bizarre (not to mention possible WP:COPYVIOs). Take for example, "...As customarily used... toothpaste... does not ... reduce the concentration of micro-organisms in the mouth." Yikes, ellipsis overload. — VoxLuna ☾ orbitland 17:56, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
His books
[edit]Are any of his books in public domain? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.232.94.33 (talk) 07:34, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Don't Ask Me / Don't Just Sit There
[edit]I've removed the final clause from the sentence "Pyke was a regular panellist on the Yorkshire Television science programme Don't Ask Me from 1974 to 1979; it was later changed to Don't Just Sit There". It's not clear from the wording whether the latter was a re-named version of the same programme, or a completely different production. Neither the Wikipedia page for Don't Ask Me nor its IMDB page mention Don't Just Sit There: there is a WP page for a (presumably) completely unrelated US show. Maybe someone who remembers the programme(s) in question can shed some light on this ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 22:03, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Another factual error
[edit]My copy of Butter Side Up! says first published 1976 by John Murray on its title verso. The book itself has glaring factual errors, interestingly, although that's not as important for Wikipedia; except if anyone foolishly relies upon it as a source.
