What the hell?

[edit]

Did a 9 year old write this? This article makes no sense whatsoever and is full of things that are completely unnecessary to someone looking for information on this song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.43.214.157 (talk) 08:09, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree 100% with the above unsigned comment and yet, I am too lazy to fix the entry. PatrickWB (talk) 04:22, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If this song wasn't a B-side on a single, there'd be no good reason to write an article on it at all. Check out the lyrics sometime. Serious WTF was he thinking material right there. --70.20.116.242 (talk) 14:29, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Argh, that last comment was mine. --Jemiller226 (talk) 14:30, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"the only song where McCartney uses comic book characters as subjects"?

[edit]

What about Rupert? --84.177.27.198 (talk) 14:34, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I found the sources for the art on the backdrop and single sleeve - which wasn't by Jack Kirby

[edit]

I run the Jack Kirby Museum and wrote an article on the Museum's Journal here: http://kirbymuseum.org/blogs/effect/2013/05/16/more-kirby-and-mccartney/ There's another piece of interest here, as well http://kirbymuseum.org/blogs/effect/realfolks/1976-paul-mccartney-and-wings/

I just don't want to edit the article here citing my own article, ya know?

The above comment is 100% correct. Thanx Randolph!
The Magneto figure is obviously by George Tuska & John Tartaglione from X-Men 91 (December 1974, on sale October 1974), the Titanium Man is by George Tuska & Mike Esposito from Iron Man 22 (February 1970, on sale December 1969), and the Crimson Dynamo is by Sal Buscema & Joe Staton from Avengers 130 (December 1974, on sale October 1974). The two BG figures are flopped.
Please correct.

So why does the article still say 1968? 2.28.151.210 (talk) 12:37, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
