The definition is fine, however, the current references appear to muddle two different meanings of magnetic form factor: the magnetic form factor governing magnetic scattering of free neutrons from unpaired outer electrons in an atom (the reference to Oak Ridge), and some kind of deep nuclear magnetic interaction (the arXiv reference). These are two very different things. Perhaps the definition is common though.

For the former interaction, the atomic form factor article covers form factors for scattering by various radiations, including the magnetic form factor Judge Nutmeg (talk) 04:21, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
