Magnesium salicylate is NOT "found in Pamprin, a premenstrual syndrome (PMS) medication". See http://www.drugs.com/mtm/pamprin-maximum-pain.html "The combination of acetaminophen, pamabrom, and pyrilamine is used to treat ..." so I deleted this sentence.
Regarding the FTC Complaint, I have to disagree. I find that Doan's is the ONLY way to treat back pain (say from over exhuberance in lifting weights); the other NSAIDS do NOT work as well. I, for another, have found Doan's to be effective for lower back pain. Perhaps it might be suggestive advertising, but I feel that it works better than most other pain-killers (NSAIDS).
