[edit]If someone would care to post the original French from which the following sentence is translated, it would be possible to see whether the translation needs to be tweaked.
"My daughter was raised between a linnet and a lark, but this is a nightingale which learned to sing."

- The full-text original passage from the Péricaud source is "Le 20 Décembre, l'affiche porta en exergue, une note ainsi conçue « Ce soir, la demoiselle Parisot, âgée de quatorze ans, qui n'a jamais paru sur aucun théâtre, débutera par le rôle de Juliette, dans YInfante de Zamora ». Mlle Parisot remporta un succès complet. Mlle Eugénie Parisot était la fille d'un ciseleur. Elle avait une fort jolie voix.
