Intro

[edit]

Valetude, I returned the intro because I did not understand why the intro needed to be shortened. It was not excessively long.–CaroleHenson (talk) 17:22, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Moved from my talk page, so that others could weigh-in either way:
Re your reversion of my suggested lede. The current lede bulks-up to almost a quarter of the length of the main article. Six or seven percent is usually adequate to establish notability. I have received many messages of thanks from editors for condensing lede-sections down to the essentials. Valetude (talk) 18:42, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And, Valetude, I have been performing GA reviews where the introductions are too short. Perhaps we can meet in the middle?–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:53, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I would be happy to compare the two introductions and add what I think are the best things to keep in the intro... and remove the rest.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:02, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Do that. Valetude (talk) 19:04, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done This is the diff between your version and the current version.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:36, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
