[edit]Perhaps it would be a good idea to have the best Maddux for each team as well? As in, the Pitcher who threw a Maddux in the fewest number of pitches.
I realize that may make the table a bit too big to manage. In that case, I might suggest making this page include a list, similar to the List of Major League Baseball no-hitters. That way we could see every Maddux thrown.

- Both good suggestions. I was inclined away from doing a complete list because it seemed almost too much. What do you think? Regarldess of that, adding three more columns to show the best for each team seems completely doable. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 15:39, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and done the fewest pitches columns. Thoughts? Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:13, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- I think there only needs to be one additional column - "Best Performance (or whatever)" which would be the Pitcher's name with the number of pitches in parentheses next to it. In my mind it would look like a player from the no-hitter list that's thrown or caught multiples. Like this: Jon Lieber (78). Not sure the date would purely be necessary.

- Hmm. If we're going to have this information it I think having the pitches be their own column is important as it lets the table be sorted that way. I don't feel as strongly about the date, but thought it worth including as it helps to let someone verify or otherwise look-up the box score. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:22, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- How about nixing the date column and instead put a simple reference on the pitch number to the box score from BBRef? Like if Kyle Hendricks was the best one the pitch column would be: 81[1]

- Sure - feel free to make that change. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:39, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- This would also clear up the issue of having multiple lines for the same team. Just put Pitcher 1/Pitcher 2 and then Pitch Number with 2 box score references. BUPetey (talk) 16:38, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- Even with this change those we'd still need the multiple lines rows - I don't think that's a major issue that needs avoiding. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:39, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
