Countess or baroness?

[edit]

Someone has just changed baronne to countess in the first sentence. That's a bit of a problematic issue as she is known under both titles. Her mother was first married to a man by the name Le Coutellier, and then to the marquis de Gudanne. She was generally called la dame de Gudanne. Madame d'Aulnoy herself married the baron d'Aulnoy. Under these circumstances it's not at all clear why she was ever called comtesse d'Aulnoy. But she was called that as well.

Therefore I will change the first sentence to the effect that she was a baroness but also known as a countess. Hans Adler 21:38, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Princess Carpillon

[edit]

SurLaLune's page for Madame d'Aulnoy's stories lists one more fairy tale by hers that doesn't have a Wikipedia article. It's called Princess Carpillon. Do you think we should add it to her list of fairy tales (and create an article for it?)

You can read it here: http://www.surlalunefairytales.com/authors/aulnoy/1892/princesscarpillon.html
