WOA NELLIE!
Hmm. Im good at search engines, and have been around the internet for umm... decades. Ok. Im a search engine god. I cannot find *any* thing about Black and White. ANYTHING! Plz point me in the right direction. I am running GnuStep, and am going to look at MLVWM, but where is Black and White? 67.174.157.126 (talk) 08:28, 17 October 2008 (UTC)--
HaZe merger
[edit]I've suggesting merging the HaZe article into this one. Please have a look at the HaZe talk page for a different phrasing of the request. --oKtosiTe talk 17:09, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
GPL
[edit]Is there any serious source that MLVWM is nowadays distributed under the GPL? The homepage does not give any statement on licenses and the man page of the last version 0.9.1 simply says "This program is distributed as freeware. The copyright remains with the author." The Tucows catalog indicates GPL but in my opinion that does not seem very reliable to me. Anyone could have submitted the MLVWM entry on Tucows years ago. --AlexF (talk) 00:21, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
I have reviewed the copyright & licenses in the source code, plus have just been in contact with Takashi Hasegawa. TaC confirmed that the code is, in fact, released under a mix of the original MIT license for twm & fvwm and his own copyright. The latter grants permissive use with no restriction as long as the copyright message is retained. So, no, this is not distributed under the GPL. --Linetrace (talk) 16:21, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
