HIstory
[edit]The first paragraph is nonsense. Not only was the name MacDuff - as a surname - invented after 1300, but if you want to believe the nonsense then "MacDuff" (actually called Siward as the Balfour MS History shows) was THANE of Fife - NOT Mormaer - for the very good reason that Malcolm II had killed any potential rival to his grandson taking the throne. Like so much other ersatz Scottish "history" peddled on too many pages this has no place in a supposed document of record. Freuchie (talk) 22:14, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
