Why is half the history of Macapa section devoted to some random dude with no importance at all? Its possible that he deserves a one line mention, but nothing more.

Etymology of Macapa

[edit]

Two different etymologies are given in two different sections of the text. Is it ambiguous, or is one of them plain wrong? Steewi (talk) 00:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Macapa's climate is tropical monsoon not equatorial. on the climate graph the average precipitation is bellow 60 mm for the 3

drier months. Macapa's climate is similar to Libreville, Gabon with a short dry season and a lengthy wet season
