Citing books by anti-German and very biased Polish writers (which of course us English-speakers cannot even read) is simply unacceptable on the English Language Wikipedia. The Goya was not used as a "troop transport". Anyone who has properly studied in the German Bundesarchiv can tell you that. By order of Hitler, only severely wounded troops could be evacuated from the east. Those able to hold a weapon and all others were expected to fight to the death. Hence the Kurland Pocket holding out right to the end of the war. Operation Hannibal was specifically aimed at civilians and bedridden wounded soldiers only.
