Weapons and Sinking

[edit]

Heard some rummors that the ship was full of weapons for Syrian terrorists. Is this true? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.218.34.164 (talk) 03:21, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, there seems to be some talk about it. While it's perfectly possible that there are (or were) weapons onboard the MOL Comfort as cargo, for now this looks more like a conspiracy theory than actual news. Some websites even claim that all containers onboard the vessel were filled with weapons for the Syrian rebels.
Anyway, let's keep an eye on the news. If it's true, it might be worth mentioning in the article even though personally I believe it has nothing to do with the ship breaking in two. Tupsumato (talk) 08:30, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Considering that Israel bombed the weapons destined for Syrian forces, it doesn't seem too far-fetched to conclude that a certain somebody returned the favor by torpedoing the weapons destined for Syrian terrorists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 223.204.107.182 (talk) 13:59, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First, referring to them as "terrorists" is WP:POV. Secondly, this was a simple stress crack, weapons or not and terrorists or not; no tinfoil hat is necessary. - The Bushranger One ping only 17:18, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article implies the bow section was restored to service.. ?? Are there any details? Gjxj (talk) 13:03, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That was added by an IP who hit a bunch of container ship-related articles with stuff they made up one day. It's been reverted. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:02, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
