[edit]So what does "MIX" stand for? Is it an acronym? What's the etymology? 188.192.112.34 (talk) 22:00, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I submitted a query to Microsoft's PR agency to answer that question about the acronym. I have some ideas for improving the Microsoft MIX page. It is very sparse in terms of the level of information about MIX. As a journalist for various technology trade publications, I know there have been stories done at each of the MIX events and I'd be willing to dig them up and present them on the page so visitors can read more detail about the development of Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9 (beta) and Windows Phone 7 -- all objective and balanced media reports. Any feedback would be appreciated. OakleyCA Dec. 24, 2010. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.140.213 (talk) 20:22, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
I heard from Microsoft's PR agency, Waggener Edstrom that MIX is NOT an acronym. I guess maybe they just think that putting it in ALL CAPS makes it seem bigger. OakleyCA. Dec. 28, 2010. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OakleyCA (talk • contribs) 19:50, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
