Creating the article

[edit]

I created this article as it is a well known notable convention in London and i believe that it has merit it's own article but right now the article isn't up to scratch but hopefully other editors will help out in making sure that the article is up to scratch. I have updated the page to give a better overview of the event, as well as some of the features of the show. I have corrected some of the incorrect information in the infobox, and given the address and organisers of the convention. mimitakashi16 (talk) 22:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Doomsday28 (talk) 12:30, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You should have asked me earlier :) Not only it is notable, but it is indeed the largest multigenre convention in Britain, and it is been like that for at least 5 years. Also it happens twice per year, whilst the convention scene in GB is pretty poor, there's no other even annual convention. Besides since recent it also hosts JapanEX show and EuroCosplay qualifiers and finals, so over the last years it certainly increased in notability. Senseiich (talk) 19:40, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photos

[edit]

As for the photos, you can ask me. Most of my photos of the aforementioned convention go back to iirc October 2008, though they were taken by a compact so quality is not high for sure. I've chosen a more or less illustrative photo taken at May 2011 Expo for now (which I uploaded to wikicommons). I can, if anyone needs, upload a photo per each convention for the last 5 or so Expo events. In fact, somewhere in archives I have an very rare overhead photo of the event, I think somewhere from 2009. I haven't seen any such photos posted on the internet at all. Only problem is that quality could be better, taken by a compact and thru a glass windows (from a galleries above the show floor).Senseiich (talk) 19:40, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Update 'Location and dates' section

[edit]

Could someone please update the Location and dates section of the article with attendee figures for Expo 21/May 2012? Stats can be found in the aftermath article on the MCM website, here: http://www.londonexpo.com/2012/05/30/mcm-comic-con-a-smash-hit/ I'd do it myself, but I'm not that confident with using the page editor, and would be kinda disappointed to log in later and find my changes reverted as a good faith edit, as some of my edits have been in the past. Thank you!--If I believed in Fate, I wouldn't be playing with loaded dice 13:56, 14 September 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Glazios (talkcontribs)

Article Content

[edit]

Much of the article's content appears to be outdated, I think the article needs reviewing as some info is now irrelevant or out of date. Iiboharz (talk) 12:54, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They have rebranded themselves as well. It is now called MCM Comic Con. 212.219.243.178 (talk) 15:43, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Expo 34

[edit]

At Expo 34, it was Frank Miller (comic book writer) who was in attendance not Frank Millar the Trade Unionist. Aramude (talk) 21:43, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
