Notes
[edit]Hi Doublea-ron, overall this is very good - my only two notes would be to be careful of non-neutral tones and words. I removed one word - prides - as this is the type of thing that you would typically see in press releases or other promotional materials for the organization. The article just needs to be looked over again to make sure it's all neutral. The other thing is that the article could use more independent, reliable sources to show notability. You have a good start here, but the coverage is a little light. I found some things with a brief search ([1], [2], [3]) and you can also use news articles as well. - Ammarpad, it looks like the organization officially renamed themselves "MANA, A National Latina Organization" in 1994, so the full name (Mexican–American Women's National Association) is no longer the correct name for the organization. This seems to be reflected on their website, which has an incredibly soothing and hypnotic background of moving liquids. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 18:19, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Tokyogirl79: You're correct and I should've check better. I only find the name bit weird, so on looking at the refs I saw encyclopedia.com link gave the name as "Mexican American Women's National Association" which seems more plausible to me. I finally moved it after I saw this related article also use the name. But it didnt came to me to check the xlink. — Ammarpad (talk) 18:54, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- It's ok - it happens and it got fixed in the end, so no worries! Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 19:53, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
Title Correction
[edit]It would be more appropriate to use the full name of the organization rather than the abbreviation. I recommend putting Mexican American Women's National Association instead of MANA — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erin troy (talk • contribs) 18:29, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Citation Issue
[edit]The organization's website is not a valid source for information. There is a risk of biased information that could have been drawn from the site and put on this page. Erin troy (talk) 18:42, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
Sections Removed
[edit]All sections and sentences from this article that were based on information found from the organization's official website have been removed.
Most of the removed sections were found under the section "Current Activism" Erin troy (talk) 18:42, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
