Dubious
[edit]The statement that an adequate supply of M18's and HEAT ammunition could have stopped NKA T-34/85's in 1950 is very questionable, given the armor penetration of the M18 and the armor protection of the T-34. The tanks could have perhaps stopped by flank and rear shots, but these kind of shots take very steady nerves on the part of the infantry. W. B. Wilson (talk) 17:58, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Penetration
[edit]Sorry, first real Wikipedia edit. The HEAT round was 2.5-3 inches penetration and used a hemispherical liner to reduce the penetration loss from rotation. Also, the M1A1 was a launcher, not a rocket, and the M6A1 and M6A3 rockets its fired did not have 120mm penetration. The M6A1 was 3 inches and M6A3 4 inches. Only the M6A4/A5 rockets did better, and the only source for M6A5 performance (OP 1720) is mostly illegible.--MandolinMagi (talk) 02:25, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
