I'm not an expert Wiki editor so please excuse me if my approach isn't quite correct, but a few things about this article don't seem consistent with acceptable Wikipedia material:

M.T. Mehdi invented the Action Committee on American-Arab Relations out of whole cloth, and became (as the only participant) its founder, president, CEO, editor and spokesman soi-disant.

To say Medhi "invented" his organization "out of whole cloth" seems a bit on the editorializing side; in any case, many organizations begin with a single founder. Further, to say he was the "only participant" warrants, I think, some sort of reference to that effect.

What began as a joke in poor taste has become a very loud and strident voice of hysteria and anti-Semitism, almost entirely due to the media's magnification of this non-entity.

A few things are wrong with the above. First, it's not quite clear what the "joke in poor taste" refers to -- Medhi's founding of ACAAR? If so, is the author suggesting that Mr. Medhi himself intended it as a joke? Wouldn't such an assertion warrant a reference to support it?

The phrase "in poor taste" certainly is a point of view, and has no place here. Ditto the "very loud and strident voice of hysteria": one suspects there are many with similar points of view as Medhi, who would not characterize their viewpoints as "hysteric". "media's magnification" is clearly a point of view or, again, warrants some supporting material. The same goes for "non-entity".

The use of present perfect tense in discussing Medhi is inappropriate ("has become a very loud and strident voice", "membership, funding, power, etc. that he has accumulated"), given that the subject has been dead for over 12 years.

Several other words and phrases should either be removed for lack of neutrality, or should be supported with proper references. These include (but are not limited to): "began with the false premise that the Committee existed", "He invented himself", "He held this mythical position", "his support of the Palestine Liberation Organization was an implicit endorsement of that group's terrorist activities". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Convit (talkcontribs) 16:16, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
