What's with the two birthplaces? Was he born on an airplane? 98.207.57.82 (talk) 16:54, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Family

[edit]

On what basis do editors continually remove information about Mr. Asante's family background? 50.185.134.48 (talk) 08:17, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lead fan pov and not in keeping with WP:LEAD

[edit]

Lead fan pov with a list of WP:PEACOCK terms (albeit from articles which praise the subject) violate a few things. One being WP:LEAD which clearly states a lead is supposed to summarize the contents of the rest of the page!!!!! The second violation is quotes are discouraged in leads, especially when THREE make up the entire lead. Puffery is a problem because it does not tell the reader anything about the subject.--105.236.61.169 (talk) 09:38, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please use talk page before putting anymore Fan POV

[edit]

We have no interest in the Lead in how Great this person is according to someone else. WP:LEAD is not a

It is an encyclopedia, not a blog or a place to promote a subject. see

And before thinking you have fixed the problem discuss the issue here on the Talk Page.--105.236.61.169 (talk) 13:09, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Full name

[edit]

Given his father's name is Molefi Kete Asante, and sources (e.g. 'Maulana Karenga: An Intellectual Portrait', written by- and the Encyclopaedia of African Religion edited by- Asante Sr- if anyone should be trusted in using the 'Jr' it's his own father, one imagines!) refer to M. K. Asante as 'Jr', surely there's justification for including what is clearly his full name in the article? Ashiyura (talk) 00:44, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
