M-44 west terminus
[edit]M-44 appears to have been truncated to end at I-96/M-37 instead of at M-11/M-37. Signage has been removed south of the interchange and the roadway is only signed as M-37 for that four mile stretch. However, I cannot find any source from MDOT showing that the route no longer exists. The Michigan Highways blog is also confused and lists both routings as potentially viable.[1]http://www.michiganhighways.org/listings/M-044.html MDOT has two separate interactive maps which both say different things, and I'm at a loss for what to do here. The physical evidence seems to suggest that M-44 no longer extends to M-11, but without any sources to back it up, I'm not sure what to do. Would really love some advice. Thanks.
