GA Review

Just a few things came up in the review. Overall, the prose is decent and the information seems comprehensive (except for the history of the current designation). Stability, neutrality, and images are fine. I have a couple of questions about the references, but overall, nothing major:
- "This intersection is northwest of Lake Huron and a ferry connection to the 4-mile (6 km) long La Salle Island" - just to clarify, this is saying that the intersection is northwest of the ferry connection, right?
- "The islands are a quiet tourist destination full of low-key charm" - way too point of view and promotional
- When I check Google Maps (reference 4), it doesn't look like Cedarville is anywhere close to this road. For some reason, the "Cedarville" that it recognizes isn't the Cedarville on M-129. Am I going crazy?
- "M-129 jogs to the east" - "jogs" seems like a strange choice of words.
- The "Current designation" section doeesn't mention M-129.
- Reference 7 seems to be a Wikipedia reference, which cannot be used to cite an article.
I will place this nomination on hold to allow for these concerns to be addressed and/or discussed. Any questions or comments can be left here, as I have placed this page on my watchlist. Best wishes, GaryColemanFan (talk) 23:39, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it is.
- Yes, but that is how the source cited at the end of that sentence described the islands. Suggestions?
- I don't know what Google is doing... but they are saying Cedarville is now located in Cedar River? No, you're not going crazy. I'm replacing the url with something that hopefully they won't change/break...
- It does now. :-)
- That's just a map uploaded and hosted on Wikipedia. Juliancolton found the same map being hosted by the Oklahoma DOT. Same map, different URL.
Any further feedback is appreciated. Imzadi1979 (talk) 03:31, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
The only concern remaining was the POV issue. I added quotations and gave the source so that the article presents the description as a review rather than fact. I believe it now meets the six GA criteria, so I am going to promote the article. Thanks for your hard work, GaryColemanFan (talk) 14:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
