Talk:M-123 (Michigan highway)/GA1
GA Review

This article is very well-written, and I had only three concerns:
- In the first paragraph of "Rogers Park to Paradise", "and through town" sounds awkward. Should this be "a town" or "towns"? If it is meant to be "through town", which town?
- I don't understand what you mean here. The full sentence is: "North of the county line is Trout Lake where M-123 meets and merges with H-40 across railroad tracks and through town near Wegwaas, Frenchman and Carp lakes." The name of the town is clearly in the sentence. Trout Lake is a town in Michigan, in fact of the three lakes in town none are named "Trout Lake". Shall we add "the town" or "the community" in front of Trout Lake? Imzadi1979 (talk) 19:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- I see where I was confused. I didn't understand that Trout Lake was a town/community. Adding "the town" or "the community" would help.
- Copy edited, and a bit added about the history of the two communities to help break up the monotony of too many "community of" phrases

- This sentence was confusing, as I felt that it had too much going on in it: "The trunkline turns southeasterly, crossing the Murphy Creek and Auger River running south and west to Four Mile Corner, where it meets the interection with H-37."
- I've made a copy edit there. Imzadi1979 (talk) 19:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- It still seems a little awkward, as I have to read it a couple of time to figure out if the road or the rivers are running south and west. Perhaps "It runs south and west across Murphy Creek and the Auger River before intersecting with H-37 at Four Mile Corner."?
- Suggestion used. Imzadi1979 (talk) 20:15, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

- As I am the source and the uploader, I updated that. Imzadi1979 (talk) 19:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
At first, I wasn't sure if the section on the state park was necessary, as it could be argued that it gets off-topic. I thought about it for a while and decided that anyone who was planning on driving the road would want to know about what is in the state park. It's a concise summary that gives only the highlights, and a helpful link is provided to the main article. As such, I believe that removing the information would be harmful to the article.
- I'm going to disagree with this. When I'm reading about M-123, I don't care where the Tahquamenon River drains or how much water flows over the falls. Imzadi1979 did something similar with SNWR in M-28 (Michigan highway), and we cut it down to a couple sentences that only explain why the mention is warranted; works a lot better that way. I say we do something similar here (and keep the picture). —Zeagler (talk) 13:14, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
I will place the nomination on hold to allow for these concerns to be addressed and/or discussed. Any questions or comments can be left here, as I have placed this page on my watchlist. Best wishes, GaryColemanFan (talk) 18:18, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
