Bah some people wanted to delete this page?? Baffling! And also, why is he called Míchel when that's not one of his names? Anyone know? Rusty8 (talk) 15:19, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- It was suggested for deletion when the page looked like this. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 06:33, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- To RUSTY: he is named MÍCHEL because of his first real name, MIGUEL. Many Spanish people (not just footballers) have this naming "approach". - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 23:27, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
Why are the details of his personal life i.e. his marriage formulated in past tense. Is his wife dead or was he divorced. Change it to present tense if his wife is still living and a singer.
Incident involving Juninho whilst at Celta
[edit]It would appear Flat Out has taken it upon himself to follow me around on Wikipedia reversing the edits I make to articles due to a personal vendetta he/she has. I have pointed out that the mention of such is irrelevant to the biography of Michel Salgado and is more relevant to Juninho's own article. Panhead2014 (talk) 13:49, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- If you follow WP:BRD I boldy edited on 15/7, Panhead2014 disagreed with an edit summary and that that was the end of the matter as afar as I am concerned. This discussion was commenced after a revert by Pratyya Ghosh not by me. The discussion point after Pratyya Ghosh's reversion is whether the reference is more relevant to Juniho's article or this one as Panhead2014]] has mentioned in the second part of the post above. I don't have an opinion on that. Flat Out let's discuss it 01:01, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
I agree with keeping the incident, not accusing Salgado of malice or anything but his tackle led to Juninho missing the World Cup, it's definitely worth mentioning and I will contact football-related administrators about this, this is getting beyond ridiculous ("this" being the removal of the contents, not belittling anyone when i say "ridiculous", apologies to anyone that might feel offended), if people don't agree with the wording (but i repeat, the current wording is not taking any sides, just stating) they can suggest different approaches, but not this please.
Attentively --AL (talk) 16:52, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
- Please Mr. Panhead, explain how saying Salgado seriously injured Juninho, thus making him miss the World Cup, is biased and irrelevant. Mind you, it is written he SERIOUSLY injured Juninho, not that he DELIBERATELY injured him (the challenge was dangerous as in "there was danger of inflicting injury", as it did, Juninho broke his TIBIA and FIBULA, it is not being said the challenge was "malicious"), no one is badmouthing Salgado (for the record, he was a player i always admired, not very skilled but all heart and teamwork, i don't have any agenda here OK?). Attentively --AL (talk) 17:02, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
This article is about Michel Salgado, not Juninho. The incident is utterly irrelevant to Salgado's career and thus really has no place here. Panhead2014 (talk) 05:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
