Kills viruses

Lysol advertises that it kills viruses. But a virus is not a living organism. How can Lysol kill something that is not alive?173.72.111.239 (talk) 17:44, 8 July 2016 (UTC)Hans Wurst

In some ways, they are alive, just not the same as plants or animals, since they can't replicate on their own. It's all how you define "alive". Jbw9999 (talk) 18:07, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

Ingredients

The ingredients for the regular scent "red top" and the Crisp Linen (and maybe others) Lysol Disinfectant Sprays are:

.1% Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride
58% Ethyl
41.9% Other Ingredients

If anyone wants to ad this to the article.

Is Ethyl just ethanol/ethyl alcohol? Does anyone know what Other Ingredients would be? I'm guessing a majority of it is water, plus butane and/or propane.

BTW, some people tend to think Lysol is full of all kinds of special and toxic cleaning ingredients, but ADBAC is in many things now, including Wet Wipes and the cart wipes at the store, as well as the Lysol APC. And obviously you can drink ethanol. Lysol APC doesn't have ethanol since it could damage some surfaces, and evaporate since it's not sealed like the aerosol cans are.Jbw9999 (talk) 18:49, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
