This "Lyons Whelp" was a merchant vessel, not one of the 10 small warships called Lions Whelps that were built for the Duke of Buckingham and taken into the English Royal Navy after the Duke was assassinated. John Wassell

Importance of article

[edit]

This ship was an important part of the pre-Great Migration flow of immigrants to New England. The tag should be about citing sources, not about relevance. --TrustTruth 16:32, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now addressed in this full length article. merlynne6 (talk) 19:14, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am concerned that this article relies heavily on research by a John Wassell without proper credit given to this individual. Note that this article only has one linked reference, which is to a website that I maintain. Phinmak (talk) 04:56, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article, which replaces the 2009 stub to which this comment is addressed, credits Wassell extensively: reference listing plus 13 footnotes. merlynne6 (talk) 19:14, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
