2016 Olympics
[edit]I am not sure why my text is being removed.
Sharp came sixth when the first three were reportedly only eligible due to the hormonal rule change, enforced by a CAS ruling (and later reversed).
Given that Sharp won the sixth place, and three contestants in places 1 2 and 3, were only there due to the rule change, it is technically a given that she would have been third place without them.
This is obviously why she broke in tears after the race.
The text does NOT imply that she would have won otherwise. It implies that her results (sixth) were a result of this rule change. As explained above.
Besides, there is here a bait and switch argument dealing.
The removal of my text has used three separate arguments for the changes.
1) "non-encyclopaedic language" 2) " irrelevant to Sharpe, not an unexplained change" which is false as explained above. 3) (anonymous user??? why is this? lol) "Agree with former editor, implication that without the rule change Sharpe would have won the race"
there is obviously below par editing. And wikilawyering to boot. Jazi Zilber (talk) 19:02, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
