Too much use of first name

As presented, the article almost constantly fell into the antiquated and condescending Southen practice of calling an adult (age 19 here) black man by his first name, helping in a subtle way perhaps to continue the sort of racial stereotyping that led to the events the article describes. I have reduced this by changing it in some instances (where it would not seem stilted) to his last name, as would almost certainly be done with regard to a white man of a similar age under similar circumstances (had there been such) and in other instances where the antecedent is very clear to "him"/"his". 2600:1004:B16D:C243:E4AC:3758:1A73:94CB (talk) 02:59, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
