A great fan

I'm very sad that Lyle seems to be unmotivated to makes music since the last ten years! I could not visit his last concert in Germany because of fever. Since that time I am waiting for him :-( Ok, I have studied maths and computer since. Yes, this makes fun, too. And this costs lots of time, I know. But Lyle, you are one of the top ten jazz pianists! It's a greate pity that such a talent like you had changed his interests so drastic. I hope there is a spark of hope that you find back to the pinao!

1977-78

In this article it states that Mays met Metheny in 1978, yet in the article for Pat Metheny, it states that Metheny featured Mays in a 1977 recording. This is inconsistent.

Lyle Mays appears on Pat Metheney's album "Watercolors", released in 1977. MarkThomas 23:06, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

A fan

I don't have any facts to add. I am to old to be a groupie :-), but at 57 years of age I have to say that there are few musicians that touch me as deeply as does Lyle Mays. Whether he is performing with The Pat Metheny Group or creating experiences for us on his solo albums, I can only hope this is a VERY long ride. Thank you, Mr. Mays.

Ah sorry. I haven't dealt with Wikipedia for quite a time and have forgotten manners because I've forgotten the technique: I'm rarely logging in and I just didn't recall how to sign properly an entry (like four times a tilde gives name&date of entry). As to your question: yes, the take on LEGO is intentional, backed by factual evidence and valorised by Lyle's ongoing occupation with LEGO bricks as a means of exploring architectural ideas in a broader scope (the perfect village: connection of see and land, open and closed space, center and periphery and more dichotomies). Another fan enquiring on a disappeared site

The link http://www.ammon-web.de/jost/lm-project/archive/PatMetheny-LyleMays-Songs.doc , redirects to the webpage http://www.ndparking.de/ammon-web.de ; I'm not sure whether the DNS of "my" ISP is fooling , or the site actually disappeared. Sadly, I guess the latter is true, so, does anyone have any relevant info?Doktor Who 00:28, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Grammys??

I know that Lyle has received several Grammy awards, but none are mentioned in the article. I will try to do the research, but maybe someone can beat me to it? (By the the way, Lyle is one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet!!) - Epousesquecido 19:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
