Plans for this page
[edit]You may have noticed that there has been a lot of activity on La Martiniere Lucknow with hundreds of edits trying to get that article to "good article" status. Some of that work is going to be used to improve other La Martinere schools. If you are interested in finding out about these plans (or helping??) then try leaving a message of the Lucknow school talk page. Victuallers 08:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Re-assessment
[edit]Following discussion at WT:SCH I am re-assessing this article for WikiProject Schools. I am giving it an assessment of Start / Mid. I am upgrading the rating to Start as the article is now well established with two reasonably detailed sections. Needs an info-box, further references and more details for B class.
I am giving it Mid importance for its history and been a school of the Lumiere brothers. I think this school might really deserve High importance but the current state of the article only establishes enough importance for Mid - more details on history and alumni would be good. Thamks Chris - impressive to get a start when there are only a few sentences and an image on the front page. I shouldn't take the credit as it was others who did the typing but on other schools. Victuallers 19:38, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- On reflection I think you're right that the mid rather than high importance is more appropriate on the basis of the content of the present article. Let's hope that someone can expand the article. There are in fact very few French schools with articles on Wikipedia. See Category:Schools in France. There are only four private schools in the whole of France which have articles. There are around eight other schools in the list, plus about 14 lycees. Note that La Martiniere College has its own category. Dahliarose 22:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- I believe that the assessor has made quite a fair assessment of the article. I think that the Mid importance is more realistic than the high. The article is on the weak end of a start-class article, but i am willing to accept it. Twenty Years 08:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
