His story was a little more harrowing than that
[edit]"He narrowly missed becoming a victim of the Charlie Hebdo shooting because he overslept and was a half hour late to work."
I don't have the time at the moment, but this seems like a bit of an understatement given this Vice interview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebL1oCy6tgY
If I am understanding him correctly, he didn't 'oversleep' so much as had too much fun celebrating his birthday, showed up literally just minutes after the gunmen had entered the building, not only saw the assassins exit the building but was shot at from a distance, and then entered the building (apparently before the paramedics arrived) and tried to administer first aid to some of his dying friends. He also mentioned that he is wearing a belt now because he didn't have one that day and they were needed for tourniquets.
It seems... relevant. --It only works in practice (talk) 05:29, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- Clearly he didn't have "too much fun" celebrating his birthday given that a) it's probably the last fun he'll have had for a long time and b) he would be dead if he hadn't... Mezigue (talk) 10:13, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- There was some implicit birthday sex there (it was just implied, so I'm not saying it needs to be mentioned) and "too much fun" was my hint at that. The big picture point is Luz's experience--the failed assassination of the man who later drew the cover of the survivor issue--has apparently been falsely stated and glossed over.
