Difference between Lincoln Navigator and the L-version?

[edit]

The way i've understood it, the Navigator's L version is based on the Ford Expedition EL and is just larger. According to my knowledge, there is no reason to list the Navigator L in the High-End luxury spot and the Navigator in the Mid-luxury spot while there is nothing more luxurious in the L-version, it is just bigger which i think doesn't matter in the classification of the luxury level of a vehicle.

It might be the similar situation of Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac ESV. Honesty I don't know what makes them different between Mid-luxury and High-End luxury either if you ask me. I think making a sample table to classify these near cars may help. What the L of Navigator L stands for anyway? Can't find an explanation on the Lincoln Navigator page. --Mato Rei 06:19, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

High End & Entry Level?

[edit]

Shouldn't it be full sized and compact, or sized based, rather than price based? In the car's individual articles, they normaly use size based categories.

Escalade and others

[edit]

Escalade SUV base price is in both versions below $60k

Porsche Cayenne Sport is one of the most expensive SUVs (~$100k) while the standard verions are $50k to $60k.

Mercedes GL starts at ~$53k. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.177.100.26 (talk) 23:39, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Need for this article

[edit]

Boy is that "delete" button up there tempting when seeing such an uneeded article. We have an article for luxury vehicles that includes an extensive section on luxury of SUVs, unless there is a whole lot more to say about luxury SUVs, I don't see a need for a seperate article. Until then I've redirected this article to "luxury vehicles." Regards, Signaturebrendel 04:11, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually willing to suggest that but I feared you'd be one of the first people to protest. So please do go ahead.
That said, I am not that enamoured with the other article either ;) PrinceGloria (talk) 09:35, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And? Anybody? PrinceGloria (talk) 19:57, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please, Please, somebody delete this article. It's bad enough that the article on Luxury Vehicles is itself largely conjecture -- completely circular in its arguements, full of weasel words -- its a shame to have one more meaningless article. 842U (talk) 09:12, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
