[edit]Also a staunch abolitionist and lead 68th brigade of volunteers from Madison as a colonel at Antietam or ? and was wounded. Could not have died in 1850s. His statue was even dumped into Lake Mendota by BLM activists. 2600:1700:9AAE:7010:D923:FBCC:F1E3:3CA5 (talk) 06:04, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
- @2600:1700:9AAE:7010:D923:FBCC:F1E3:3CA5Correct battle was Chickimauga. All dates in entry are incorrect, including one in new giant headstone in cemetery. BTW, 6 miles straight east on same road was a stop on the Underground in Painesville, Wisconsin. No scholarship. No erudition. 2600:1700:9AAE:7010:D923:FBCC:F1E3:3CA5 (talk) 06:17, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
