This article is a mess
[edit]This is an encyclopedia, not a website designed to promote Luminato. Right now, it appears to have been written by Luminato promotional staff. Moreover, it is full of information that violates WP:NOT (Wikipedia typically does not contain staff directories or festival event schedules). I will do a major clean-up of the article, but wanted to post here in case anyone has it on their watchlist and had any thoughts. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 22:03, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Luminato Updates in 2011
[edit]In full disclosure, this is a note from a Luminato staff member, in reference to the below comment posted in 2009, as well as to edits required to the current Luminato Wikipedia entry. To the best of my knowledge, the original entry was not created by a Luminato staff member; Luminato, the organization, would prefer if some of the staff directory/advisory committee information was removed.
Luminato, would like to see a note about each year's Festival maintained in the entry, as well as an inclusion of the following year's Festival dates. Currently, an entry about the 2011 Festival (June 10-19, 2011) is missing, as are the 2012 Festival dates: June 8-17, 2012. Additionally, the Luminato staff listings that likely should remain in the entry involve Janice Price (Luminato's CEO) and Chris Lorway (Luminato's former Artistic Director). A note should be added to the current entry that Chris Lorway left his position at Luminato as of July 2011 to work with Lord Cultural Resources in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Luminato is currently searching for a new Artisitic Director to join the organization in the Fall of 2011. --208.124.146.74 (talk) 15:02, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Allison Saretsky, Interactive Marketing Manager, Luminato
- The article is clearly a work in progress. While your comments are helpful, we have guidelines and policies here on Wikipedia that establish what is included and excluded from articles. But someone clearly needs to take a look at your suggestions. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 20:45, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Mr Lorway is still shown as an employee on the Lumianto website which is at the point the most reliable source. I think I've handed everything else...Naraht (talk) 17:37, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Luminato's staff listing can be found on our website here: http://www.luminato.com/about/staff. Chris Lorway is not included on this listing as a staff member. Luminato's Artistic Director is Jorn Weisbrodt. 208.124.146.74 (talk)Allison Saretsky, Interactive Marketing Manager, Luminato March 8, 2012 (UTC)
