Inadequate information as to their function
[edit]We need more information as to what exactly these muscles do. And, in addition to the technical details we need them stated in plain English too. e.g. an anatomy book (https://www.kenhub.com/en/library/anatomy/lumbrical-muscles-of-the-hand) says this "The reason for the opposite actions is that the tendons cross the MCP on the palmar side, but distally insert at the dorsal side of the finger."
