Needs reliable sources
[edit]Number 57, www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com, a subdomain of newcastlefans.com, appears to be a self-published source that may lack the required reliability for a valid BLPPROD objection. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:23, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- It's widely regarded as a reliable source and is used on thousands of Wikipedia articles (you can check this by the number of transclusions of {{NeilBrownPlayers}}, which is often used to link to the site). You can also see that it is regularly used in discussions at WT:FOOTY. Feel free to bring the matter up there if you need further reassurance. Number 57 16:26, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Number 57, thanks, I wasn't aware of this. Even the template description itself, though, seems to recommend it for the "external links section" of articles. A quick look at a few of the transclusions seems to confirm this view. Just like IMDb, it may lack the required reliability to be used as a source while still being a valid external link for thousands of Wikipedia articles. My concern remains, for this specific article and the specific citation done here. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:33, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- The source is fine but I don't have time to waste arguing about this so I've just replaced it with another one. Next time, rather than wasting other editors' time like this, please just find a source yourself – it took all of five seconds to find something on Nightingale on Google.
